Ethical Risk Assessment Auditor Training
BRCGS Ethical Trade & Responsible Sourcing Risk Assessment Auditor Training has been developed for BRCGS Product Safety auditors so that they can conduct the ETRS Risk Assessment. It is not a social audit but rather a health check against the 5 Vital Signs of ethical trade & responsible sourcing and can be bolted onto a product safety audit or delivered as a stand-alone exercise.
The Risk Assessment takes a half-day to complete and should not be confused with the audit against the Global Standard for Ethical Trade & Responsible Sourcing, which is a separate product. When completing the Risk Assessment Auditor Training, please ensure you have a copy of the ETRS Risk Assessment Guidance (ET105) which can be found on BRCGS Participate.
The training is split into 3 webinar modules with an exam that must be successfully completed to be approved as a Risk Assessment auditor.
Webinar 1: Introducing the Ethical Trade and Responsible Sourcing Risk Assessment Protocol and Checklist – an overview of the new ETRS Programme, the new Global Standard, how the ETRS risk assessment relates to it, an explanation of the risk assessment protocol and how the risk assessment checklist works.
Webinar 2: Understanding the Risk Assessment Checklist Requirements – Part I – a detailed look at the risk assessment checklist, focusing on three of the vital signs relating to senior management commitment, labour standards and corporate governance
Webinar 3: Understanding the Risk Assessment Checklist Requirements – Part 2 - completing review of the checklist focusing on the remaining 2 vital signs relating to health and safety requirements in the workplace and respecting human rights.
