Meet Alessandro
Born in 1962, I graduated as an agronomist in 1986. Between 1987 and 1990, I volunteered on a Development Cooperation project in Bolivia, approved by the Italian Ministry of Defence. I then worked for five years as a nutritionist for a consortium of cooperatives specialising in beef cattle fattening and meat production.
Since 1995, I have owned and managed an independent consultancy, providing services to food and feed companies in HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRCGS, IFS and other food safety and quality management standards.
Since the same year, I have been a qualified auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and SA8000, and later became qualified to audit the BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety and IFS Standards.
I am an approved auditor trainer for the BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety (from Issue 5 onwards) and other GFSI-recognised standards.
In addition to my native Italian, I speak English, Spanish and French.
