Nena Velickovic

Nena Velickovic combines deep technical knowledge with an exceptionally practical and inclusive approach to training. She often opens with a simple question: “Why are you here today?” This invites participants to clarify their own learning goals, connect the session to their responsibilities and take an active role in their professional growth. Respect for each person’s experience, perspective and way of thinking is central to her approach.

Founder and Principal Consultant of NV Consulting in Toronto, Canada, Nena brings nearly 30 years of experience across food manufacturing, laboratory work, retail quality assurance and consulting. A BRCGS Approved Training Partner since 2013 and Principal Trainer for Food Safety since 2022, she has delivered more than 1,000 training sessions, virtually and in person. Her BRCGS training covers Food Safety, Agents and Brokers, Storage and Distribution, and the full Product Safety Management suite, including internal auditing, root cause analysis, risk assessment, environmental monitoring, and validation and verification.

Nena received the BRCGS Approved Training Partner and Consultant of the Year award for the Americas in 2022. She holds an M.Sc. in Food Science and Food Technology Engineering from the University of Belgrade. Her aim is to help participants strengthen their understanding, improve their performance and build confidence in their own professional judgment.
