About you

I am Bilgin. I studied at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Engineering, where I received education in Food Science and Technology.

I work in the Quality Assurance Management Department of a private retail discount chain. My responsibilities include monitoring product safety audits throughout the supply chain, assessing compliance with the company’s product safety policies and standards, and managing the quality and safety of our own-brand products within my organisation.

What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?

After becoming a BRCGS Professional, I received a job offer for a Quality and Product Safety Manager position. The certification has added significant value to my professional career.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

By gaining a better understanding of BRCGS certification audit requirements, I have been able to integrate a higher level of product safety management into the company.

I have also applied food fraud analysis, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis techniques for product safety and quality-based non-conformities. These approaches have helped improve and develop our suppliers and strengthen our overall product safety systems.

What did you most enjoy about the training?

I was particularly impressed by the interactive approach and the high-quality examples provided throughout the training process.

Our trainer and BRCGS Turkey representative, Evren Efe-Kabagoz, was highly knowledgeable, possessed extensive auditing experience, and demonstrated strong awareness of current industry developments.

How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?

I aim to keep my skills current by continuing to follow BRCGS training courses and seminar programmes.

What are your career ambitions/aims?

My career goal is to manage a professional team and lead quality and product safety processes as a Director of Quality and Product Safety within global industrial manufacturing companies.
