About you
I have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering and now have more than five years of experience in food safety and quality assurance.
My current role is Senior Food Safety & Quality Management Executive at Intersnack Cashew India Private Limited. I am responsible for implementing food safety requirements of GFSI-recognised standards such as BRCGS.
Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?
I joined the BRCGS Professional Programme to improve my competency in auditing and to gain a better understanding of product safety management with international recognition.
What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?
The BRCGS Professional certification adds value to my career path and has boosted my confidence to lead a team. It has also helped me develop a better understanding of food safety and quality management systems.
How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?
I was able to implement the requirements of the standard at our processing facility, strengthen the internal audit team, and ultimately achieve better grades during certification audits.
What did you most enjoy about the training?
The training was highly interactive and included teamwork, brainstorming sessions, case study discussions that provided a clear understanding of real-life scenarios, technical guidance from the trainer, and auditor skill-development activities.
What are you most looking forward to within the Professional community?
I am looking forward to interacting with like-minded professionals around the world for knowledge sharing, Microlearning opportunities, and gaining exposure to emerging developments within the industry.
How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?
I plan to keep my skills up to date through the BRCGS Professional Progress Programme (PPP), additional training courses, conferences, e-learning, and webinars.
What are your career ambitions/aims?
My ambition is to lead my own team of technical professionals, raise awareness of the importance of food safety and quality throughout the industry, and become recognised as an expert in food safety and quality management systems.
