About you
I currently work as a Quality Assurance Coordinator in the fresh produce industry. I hold a Master’s in Food Safety, Hygiene, and Management from the University of Birmingham. In my role, I oversee quality control processes to ensure that fresh produce meets safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Outside of work, I enjoy developing creative applications as a hobby developer, which allows me to explore new technologies and innovate in ways that challenge my problem-solving skills.
Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?
I joined the BRCGS Professional Programme to deepen my expertise in product safety management and quality assurance, particularly within the fresh produce sector. This qualification enables me to ensure companies meet high standards for safety and quality while protecting our brand.
What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?
The BRCGS Professional qualification has enhanced my technical knowledge in product safety, connected me with a global network of professionals, and increased my credibility in the industry, further supporting my career advancement.
How has the training helped improve operations at your company?
The training has helped us improve our product safety protocols, streamline traceability, and achieve better audit results. These improvements have not only reinforced our credibility with external customers but also contributed to enhanced operational efficiency and safety.
What did you most enjoy about the training?
I enjoyed the interactive training style, the practical application of the concepts, and the insights provided by the experienced trainer, which made the sessions both engaging and impactful.
What are you most looking forward to within the Professional community?
I look forward to attending networking events, connecting with like-minded professionals, and gaining access to exclusive learning resources like Microlearning to further enhance my expertise.
I plan to stay updated through the PPP system, enrolling in additional training courses, attending webinars and industry conferences, and pursuing further qualifications in related fields.
What are your career ambitions/aims?
My career goals include leading a team focused on food safety and quality assurance, implementing the BRCGS Professional Programme and establishing myself as a recognised leader in the fresh produce and food safety industries.
