About you

I am currently working as a Quality Assurance Coordinator at Conestoga Meats Packers Limited in Canada, where I play a key role in managing food safety programs and ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards. Prior to that, I was a Quality Control Supervisor with UAC Foods and a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Luxy Confectioneries, both RTE companies in Nigeria.

Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?

I have an innate desire to learn new things, as well as to better understand the BRCGS standards in depth. To become a leader in the food safety, I saw the need to equip myself with the valuable information offered by the programme as knowledge keep evolving.

What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?

The programme exposes me to the latest industry trends and updates. Being taught by professionals in the field, learning from their wealth of experience, and connecting with like-minded colleagues are just a few of the incredible benefits I’ve gained.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

The training has positioned me to better identify areas for improvement in compliance with BRCGS standards. It has also honed my internal auditing skills, setting us up for success at my site.

What is your educational background?

I hold a Master of Science degree in Medical Microbiology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management.

What are you most looking forward to in the Professional community?

I am looking forward to meeting industry professionals and learning from their wealth of experience.

How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?

I plan to stay actively engaged through webinars, conferences, and training.

What are your career ambitions/aims?

To lead the course of food safety across various industries and contribute my efforts to groom upcoming professionals in the food industry.
