Meet İbrahim

About you

I graduated from Afyon Kocatepe University in Food Technology in 2011, and from Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Engineering, in Food Engineering in 2016. After my graduation, I worked in various food companies as a production engineer, finished goods warehouse manager, import and export operations manager, and quality assurance manager.

I am currently working as a Quality Manager at Benmark Food, a company in the frozen food sector. In the future, I plan to continue gaining new knowledge and skills for my professional development. Outside of work, I go running with our running club on weekends, and sometimes I make music at home.

Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?

Throughout my career, the knowledge I have gained from training has been vital to my expertise. I joined the BRCGS Professional Programme to expand my knowledge further and also to be part of an international professional community.

What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?

The BRCGS Professional certification has advanced my expertise and increased my competence in quality assurance. The new knowledge I gained from the training feels like gaining distinct experiences. It helps me think more easily about food safety and explain it in a simple way to my team.

I also see that food safety is not only about systems, but also about sustainability and clear communication. This helps create a strong food safety culture among professionals.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

The BRCGS Professional training helped me understand and better apply the quality assurance system in practice. It also helped improve results in areas that were previously understood differently. I can now view quality more as a culture, rather than just a system.

What did you most enjoy about the training?

The trainers shared some of their real-world experiences during the presentations. This was incredibly valuable for us, and I can confidently say this was the part I enjoyed the most.

What are you most looking forward to within the Professional community?

I am looking forward to being part of a community where experienced professionals share their ideas, experiences, and knowledge about quality. It will also be highly valuable to communicate and interact with other professionals during social events and activities.

How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?

I see this training as a starting point. I plan to join further training courses within the BRCGS Professional Programme and attend industry events and conferences to keep my knowledge up to date and continue learning.

What are your career ambitions/aims?

My career goal is to improve my knowledge and skills in other GFSI-approved standards, such as IFS and FSSC 22000. I want to develop my expertise in managing quality systems, training my team, maintaining processes, and managing certification and site audits. My ultimate aim is to become a more competent quality assurance manager.
