About you
My role involves the implementation of different Food Safety Standards and requirements within the food packaging and food manufacturing industries.
Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?
The BRCGS Professional Programme is a platform for the exchange of knowledge, bringing together likeminded people and recognising real talent. My accomplishment gives me a sense of pride.
How has the programme impacted your work?
Gaining recognition as a BRCGS Professional has allowed me to acquire new tools, which are recognised globally. It has also given me more self-belief and, in demonstrating my commitment, I have also instilled management and customers with more confidence.
How did you get to your current role?
I got into the food manufacturing industry at the beginning of my career and it became a passion. I believe that safe quality food is achieved through strong determination and training and - over the past 10 years - I have grown into a managerial position, with the experience and platform to implement the requirements for Food Safety Excellence.
What is your educational background?
I have a Masters in Microbiology as well as undertaking BRCGS training against The Global Standard for Food Safety (Issue 5 - 8), FSSC 4.1 and other ISO standards.
What are your career ambitions?
I would like to grow as a recognised food safety adviser.
