About you

My academic journey started with the completion of a Double Degree in Business Administration and Law at the Universitat de Valencia (Spain). I pursued a portion of my Business Administration studies at the Business School of the University of Exeter (UK) thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. I am the third generation of "INTERADE Etiquetas", a family business dedicated to packaging with more than 50 years of experience, specialized in adhesive labels (known as PSL) for various sectors, including the food industry.

As the COO of the company, part of my responsibilities are managing and coordinating the Quality and Innovation Department. In 2021, we achieved the BRC PACKAGING certification, facilitating the acceleration of our strategic growth plan and resulting in a significant presence in prominent companies within the food sector and its distribution networks, both nationally and internationally.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am an avid enthusiast of music and theatre. This passion has driven me to self-teach piano and actively engage in an amateur theatre company.

Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?

I joined the BRCGS Professional Programme for several reasons. Firstly, I sought to enhance brand protection for my company by ensuring compliance with industry-leading standards. Additionally, I aimed to deepen my understanding of Product Safety Management to better safeguard consumer health and well-being. Moreover, participation in the programme offered the opportunity for international recognition, bolstering our credibility and competitiveness in global markets. Therefore, obtaining the BRCGS Professional title equips me with an additional assurance for achieving the excellence our company requires in our production processes.

What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?

The BRCGS Professional certification holds significant personal value for me on several levels. Firstly, it provides a sense of belonging to a larger community of professionals dedicated to upholding the highest standards in product safety and quality management. This network offers opportunities for collaboration, shared learning, and continuous improvement.

Secondly, the certification has enhanced my knowledge of Product Safety Management, equipping me with the skills and expertise necessary to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and ensure the safety and integrity of our labels. This not only strengthens my confidence in performing my role but also contributes to the overall success and reputation of our company.

Lastly, the BRCGS Professional certification enhances my professional recognition by demonstrating my commitment to professional development and adherence to internationally recognized standards, thereby reinforcing my standing within the industry.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

The training provided by the BRCGS Professional Programme has had a profound impact on improving operations at our company in several key areas. This has resulted in improved product quality and safety measures, thereby reducing the risk of incidents and safeguarding consumer health.

What did you most enjoy about the training?

There were several aspects of the training that I found particularly enjoyable and valuable. Firstly, the expertise and guidance provided by the trainer were exceptional. Their deep understanding of the subject matter and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts made the training sessions engaging and informative.

I intend to utilise the resources provided by the PPP system to ensure that my skills remain current and relevant in the ever-evolving landscape of product safety and quality management. This includes enrolling in additional training courses to deepen my understanding of key concepts and stay abreast of industry best practices.

Additionally, I plan to seek out mentoring opportunities where I can learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into emerging trends and challenges. Attending conferences and events will also be a priority, as they provide valuable networking opportunities and exposure to the latest advancements in the field.

Furthermore, I will take advantage of E-Learning platforms and webinars to supplement my knowledge and skills in a flexible and accessible manner. By embracing a multifaceted approach to skill development, I am confident that I will remain well-equipped to meet the demands of my role and contribute effectively to the success of our company.

My career ambitions revolve around advancing and enhancing our current family business, focusing on the manufacturing of adhesive labels. Firstly, I aim to lead my own team of technical professionals within our company, leveraging my expertise in product safety and quality management to drive innovation and excellence. Cultivating a collaborative and high-performing team culture is a key priority for me, fostering creativity and continuous improvement.

Additionally, I am eager to implement the Professional programme in other areas of our company. By extending the benefits of this programme across various departments, we can enhance overall operational efficiency and ensure consistent adherence to industry standards throughout the organisation.
