Meet Merve

About you

My name is Merve Vardar and I am a Food Engineer living in Istanbul. I graduated from Afyon Kocatepe University in 2019. I have experience in both R and D and Quality departments in the food industry. Currently, I work as the Quality and R and D Manager at Ovaleks.

Outside of work, I really enjoy yoga. I also enjoy travelling and camping whenever I have the opportunity.

The BRCGS Professional certification has given me a broader perspective on food safety and quality management. It has strengthened my professional credibility and motivated me to continue improving myself.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

The training I received helped me with risk management in production operations at the facility, audit preparation, and establishing a food safety culture.

I am looking forward to connecting with other food safety professionals, sharing experiences, and staying informed about developments in the industry.

How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?
