About you

My current role is with McAlpine Foods as a Quality Assurance Manager.

Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?

I joined the BRCGS programme to learn and develop my Food Safety skills and also able to understand the standard clearly and implement it accordingly. Eight years ago, as part of my internship, I started my professional career with the implementation of BRCGS standards in the baby food industry. Over the years, I had gained a lot of insight into the implementation of various Food Safety Standards and my zeal to keep up to date on the latest standards and quality trends has only increased further. Achieving BRCGS Professional was a personal as well as a professional achievement for me.

What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?

Personally, it has helped me strengthen my auditing skills. I am a Certified Quality Auditor from ASQ and BRCGS professional certification has given me the opportunity to learn more technical skills.

How has/will the recognition programme impacted your work?

This will help me to implement the standards more thoroughly and address any issues that might arise.

How did you get to your current role?

I have worked in the Food industry for over eight years implementing and managing various food safety and quality standards. I recently joined an organization that plans to implement and get certified for a GSFI Standard.

What is your educational background?

I have a Masters in Sustainable Food Manufacturing Management with a Major in Food Safety and Quality Assurance.

What are your career ambitions/aims?

I would like to develop my skills and become a BRCGS Auditor in the near future. Auditing has always been of great interest to me and that would be something that I would like to pursue further down my career.
