About you

My name is Ravi Ranjan Kumar, and I hail from Bihar, India. I completed my Diploma in Plastics Technology at CIPET Hyderabad, followed by a BBA and MBA in Total Quality Management from Kalinga University Raipur. Presently, I serve as the Quality Head at Rayan Advanced Industrial Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, leveraging over a decade of experience in the flexible packaging industry. I hold certifications as a BRCGS professional and Lead auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001), along with being a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner. Moreover, I am currently immersed in my PhD studies in quality management from Kalinga University Raipur. On a personal note, I cherish my role as a family man with my parents, my wife Pratibha, and my daughter Amaira. My interests span traveling, reading, and music, and I find solace in practicing heartfulness meditation. Additionally, I am an active member of Toastmasters International.

Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?

Enrolling in the BRCGS Professional Programme afforded me the opportunity to enhance my expertise in product safety management and attain international recognition as a BRCGS professional. The program not only expanded my professional network but also opened doors for career advancement, setting a solid foundation for my growth in the industry through comprehensive knowledge and recognized certification.

The BRCGS Professional certification is personally invaluable as it links me with a worldwide community of professionals. Through this network, I engage in sharing insights and best practices, broadening my outlook and discovering inventive solutions for product safety and quality management issues. This recognition extends beyond my current professional contacts, showcasing my capability to tackle intricate global challenges. In essence, this certification aligns with my career trajectory by offering networking avenues, specialized knowledge, and opportunities for advancement.

How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?

The training has positively impacted our operations by fortifying our company's brand protection through enhanced product safety measures, improved audit ratings, and increased credibility with external customers.

What did you most enjoy about the training?

Guided by Mr. Ashish Gaur from Normes decodes, the training was truly exceptional. His deep expertise, engaging teaching style, and interactive exercises fostered a learning atmosphere that effectively simplified intricate ideas into actionable insights. This made the training journey both enriching and enjoyable, resulting in a highly valuable experience.

What are you most looking forward to within the professional community?

I am excited about the multitude of opportunities presented by the Professional community. Participating in networking events will allow me to interact with colleagues who have similar goals, facilitating valuable knowledge sharing and collaboration. The chance to engage with professionals from various industries promises new viewpoints and creative ideas. Moreover, exclusive benefits like Microlearning can enhance my skills and encourage ongoing learning within a dynamic and supportive setting.

How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?

I intend to keep my skills current through the PPP system, which includes activities like enrolling in additional training sessions, seeking guidance from mentors, attending conferences and events, engaging in E-Learning and webinars, and obtaining third-party industry qualifications like a University Degree.

What are your career ambitions/aims?

My goal is to head a team of technical professionals and expand the Professional programme across various divisions within our company, aiming to be acknowledged as an industry leader. Leveraging my skills, I aspire to represent our company, Rayan Advanced Industrial Company, on a global scale.
