About you
I graduated from Ankara University, Department of Food Engineering, and have been working as a Quality Specialist at IKEA for the past two months. I bring 8 years of experience in the field of quality, where I’ve been involved in monitoring, improving, and implementing quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and BRCGS.
Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?
I joined the BRCGS Professional Programme to strengthen my understanding of global food safety standards, enhance brand protection within my company, and gain international recognition in my field. I believe this program is an excellent way for professionals like me to stay up to date with best practices in product safety management.
What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?
This certification enhances my credibility as a quality professional and connects me to a global community of experts. It broadens my knowledge, opens up better career opportunities, and keeps me informed about international standards and trends in food safety.
How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?
The training has directly improved product safety at our site. It has helped us better prepare for audits, increased our credibility with stakeholders, and improved our compliance with international standards. Ultimately, this builds more trust with our customers.
What did you enjoy most about the training?
I particularly enjoyed the interactive tasks and practical examples shared during the sessions. The trainer’s engaging training methods made complex topics easy to understand. It made learning enjoyable and directly applicable to my work.
What are you most looking forward to within the Professional community?
I look forward to networking with other professionals, sharing experiences, and attending exclusive events such as microlearning sessions. Being part of a motivated and knowledgeable community is incredibly inspiring and enriching.
How do you plan to keep your skills up to date?
I plan to continue learning through the PPP system by enrolling in more training programs, attending webinars and conferences, mentoring others, and possibly pursuing further industry qualifications like a specialized university degree.
What are your career ambitions/aims?
My goal is to lead a team of technical professionals while expanding the implementation of the Professional Programme across other departments within my company. I also aspire to contribute to the development of food safety culture on a broader scale and be recognized as a thought leader in the industry.
