My current role is Manager of Integrated Management Systems and Sustainability.
Why did you join the BRCGS Professional Programme?
I enrolled in the BRCGS Professional Programme to deepen my expertise in global food safety and quality standards and to support continuous improvement and brand protection within my organization. The programme offers a structured and internationally recognized pathway to stay aligned with evolving best practices in product safety, risk management, and compliance. I viewed it as a strategic investment in my professional development and in strengthening the overall assurance systems of the businesses I support.
What value do you personally feel the BRCGS Professional certification brings to you?
The programme exposes me to the latest industry trends and updates. Being taught by professionals in the field, learning from their wealth of experience, and connecting with like-minded colleagues are just a few of the incredible benefits I’ve gained.
How has the training helped improve operations at your site/company?
The training has positioned me to better identify areas for improvement in compliance with BRCGS standards. It has also honed my internal auditing skills, setting us up for success at my site.
What did you most enjoy about the training?
What I appreciated most about the training was the practical, real-world applicability of the content. The interactive exercises, combined with the trainer’s clear and engaging delivery, transformed complex subject matter into accessible and actionable knowledge. The balanced approach between theory and hands-on examples not only enhanced my understanding but also enabled me to immediately apply key learnings to my day-to-day responsibilities.
What are your career ambitions/aims?
To be one of the professionals developing the implementation of BRCGS and other GFSI-approved to contribute to the development and improvement of systems.
