Get Started Implementation Pack

The Get Started Implementation Pack is for sites considering certification to the BRCGS START Programme.

The pack includes:
1. Global Standard START (Issue 2). This outlines what you need to do to become certificated and the requirements you need to comply with (PDF)
2. Global Standard START (Issue 2) Interpretation Guideline. This provides additional guidance and tips on the best way to comply with each requirement and what an auditor will be looking for. This is referred to in the tool as the IG (PDF)
3. Get Started Assessment Tool. Questions covering key areas that will provide an assessment of the maturity of your food safety and quality management systems (Excel)
4. Get Started Assessment Tool Guideline. This document provides additional help to answer questions in the tool (PDF)
5. Site Self-Assessment Tool. Detailed checklists for Basic and Intermediate clauses that sites can use to review compliance to the START programme requirements (Word)
6. Food Safety Management System to BRCGS Global Standard START Transition Tool. For sites considering moving from a generic system (Word)
7. SALSA (Issue 6) to BRCGS Global Standard START (Issue 2) Transition Tool. For sites in the UK considering moving from the SALSA standard (word)
