On 9 July, BRCGS and LGC AXIO hosted the Food Supply Chain Risk Management Workshop in Guangzhou, bringing together nearly 70 professionals from across the food industry, including representatives from the new retail, traditional retail, food manufacturing and chain catering sectors.
The workshop provided an opportunity for industry discussion and knowledge sharing, with presentations delivered by senior leaders and technical experts from domestic and international organisations.
Throughout the event, delegates explored a range of topics relevant to today's food supply chains, including international testing and compliance requirements, laboratory management, updates to BRCGS standards, pest risk management, foreign body contamination prevention, quality-by-design approaches for new product development, digital quality management in retail environments, and food safety incident management.
Bringing together expertise from across the sector, the workshop facilitated the exchange of practical insights and best practices to support organisations in strengthening food safety and quality management throughout the supply chain.
