The 2026 Global Public Health Food Safety Summit, which took place earlier this month, brought together leading voices from across the global food safety and pest management communities. The event was presented by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA), and the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations (FAOPMA).

The summit welcomed frontline pest management practitioners, public health professionals, food safety compliance specialists, and academic researchers, creating a high-level international platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and capability building.

BRCGS was proud to contribute to the event, with Ray Jin, Regional Head for North Asia, delivering a keynote presentation titled “Keeping Up with the Modernisation of Today’s Food Safety Audit Schemes”. His session addressed key challenges faced by organisations in meeting pest control compliance requirements, highlighting the evolving expectations of food safety frameworks and the importance of robust audit practices.

The summit reinforced the critical role of effective pest management in safeguarding public health and supporting the integrity of global food supply chains. It also underscored the importance of collaboration across industry, academia, and regulatory bodies in driving continuous improvement and innovation.
