  • Mike Wilson

    Managing Director

    Mike brings extensive executive leadership experience from the assurance sector, with a strong commercial focus and a proven track record of developing solutions that help organisations demonstrate compliance, strengthen resilience, and drive sustainable growth.

  • Anna Malek-Woznica

    Head of Certification Integrity
  • Angela O'Donovan

    Head of Programmes

    Angela joined the company in 2021 and is responsible for all 10 BRCGS Standards. She has over 30 years experience in technical, quality assurance and safety roles in both food and non-food sectors. She previously worked for Whitbread, Woolworths, Mothercare, Wessanen and Bidfood managing global supply chain assurance up to £2billion in sales.

  • John Figgins

    Senior Technical Manager

    John has over 35 years’ experience in food safety, authenticity, quality and legality, covering everything from laboratory testing to standards writing, and from auditing to allergen management. His previous roles include Product Safety Manager for Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd, where he was responsible for the prevention of food contaminants, procedures to ensure the authenticity of products, allergen policy and management of allergens within the supply chain. John has also been a Standard Manager at BRCGS responsible for the Food Safety and Agents & Brokers Global Standards.

  • Sam Clegg

    Quality Manager

    Sam joined BRCGS in 2024 bringing with him a varied skillset built mainly in the Aquaculture industry in certification, quality and sustainability. Sam has been fortunate enough to work in food production and processing within the seafood industry in Scotland, as well as in third-party and BRCGS compliance within a certification body. Prior to joining BRCGS, Sam moved up the compliance chain to take a role at Aquaculture Stewardship Council. Sam’s focus at BRCGS is to support the wider business in modernising systems and championing high standards.

     

  • Sara Dias

    Head of BRCGS Academy

    Sara joined BRCGS in 2019 with an educational foundation and professional experience rooted in social and healthcare settings. She has 15 years of experience in learning and development across diverse roles ranging from training delivery and management, to strategic and commercial leadership. As Head of the Academy, Sara leads the strategic direction and implementation of training products and the BRCGS Professional programme, whilst managing an extensive network of training partners and consultants.

  • Federica Battaglia

    Head of Commercial

    Federica brings extensive commercial leadership across the global food and assurance sectors, supported by over 20 years of experience in diverse international markets. She has partnered with world‑leading brands to accelerate global revenue growth, strengthen strategic market presence, and elevate commercial performance across regions. Passionate about food safety and people, she is known for cultivating influential global networks and leading high‑performing commercial teams worldwide.

  • Paula Pulkkanen

    Marketing and Brand Strategy Manager

    With more than 20 years’ experience spanning the TIC industry, global advertising networks, and professional services, Paula helps organisations create resonant brands and effective strategies. Her work centres on enhancing reputation, enabling growth, and building deeper customer engagement.

  • Cheryl Stevens

    Senior Leader of Digital Strategy and Operations

    A commercially astute product and digital transformation specialist with 14 years in the TIC industry, Cheryl brings sharp commercial insight and a passion for creating customer‑centric solutions that drive growth. Known for her results driven approach, passion, strategic thinking, and evidence‑based problem solving, Cheryl now helps shape innovative products and digital capabilities across BRCGS.
