Having worked as an auditor, consultant and trainer in the Packaging Sector since 1992, Keith Ogden has wide experience of helping companies to achieve and maintain BRCGS Certification. Prior to the launch of the Global Standard, Keith was involved with development and delivery of other Hygiene Accreditation Schemes in the Packaging Industry. He has since worked as a BRCGS Auditor and as a trainer and consultant before setting up Effective Control Ltd in 2007. Keith has since worked in 22 countries worldwide helping companies to achieve and maintain effective control of product hygiene and safety. Clients cover a wide cross section of the Packaging Industry – including Metals, Flexible Plastics, Rigid Plastics, Paper, Corrugated Board, Folding Cartons, Labels, etc. Work undertaken includes: • BRCGS Gap Analyses • HACCP/Hazard and Risk Management and Food Safety Management System Development, Documentation and Implementation • Mentoring throughout the BRCGS Certification Process • Internal Auditing (of Quality/Food Safety/HACCP Management Systems and Standards) • Provision of “external expertise” to review and develop Food Safety/HACCP Systems • Supplier Auditing (Raw Materials, Sub-contractors and Transport/Storage) • BRCGS/Food Safety Team Training • Senior Management Team BRCGS Training • Supervisor BRCGS/HACCP Training • Basic Packaging Hygiene/BRCGS Training • Refresher Training • Advice on design and construction of new manufacturing plants and subsequent progress to BRCGS Certification • Food Defence System Development • Food Defence Training In addition to expertise in the Global Standard for Packaging, Keith has a good working knowledge and experience of the Global Standard for Storage and Distribution, plus experience of many sectors of the Food Industry, especially fresh produce and dairy.
