Aly has worked in a quality/technical function for over 20 years in the food industry, and he is currently an Approved Training Partner (ATP) for the Global Standard for Food Safety issue 9 and the Global Standard for Storage and Distribution issue 4. In addition, he serves as a lead instructor for the FSPCA’s Preventive Controls for Human Food.
After serving as a quality engineer and chemist at UHT milk and juice companies (BSc in Food Science, Ph.D. in Total Quality Management), dairy technology specialist, and food safety expert, Aly worked as a food safety consultant and trainer at international-funded projects. Further, he has good product and process understanding and extensive experience of implementing, auditing, and maintaining food quality and safety management systems.
Aly carries high personal qualities such as dedication and passion for his career, as proven by his job history, which made the linkages between practical experience in both industry and academia (as an associate professor for agricultural planning and development). He is also capable of managing teams effectively to achieve targets and ultimate goals.
