Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Meenakshi began her career in Microbiology, earning her degree in Microbiology and working as a Microbiologist for five years. She brings over a decade of strong foundational experience in microbiological sciences, which continues to underpin her risk-based and preventive approach to food safety.

After immigrating to Canada in 2000, she completed her Master of Science in Food Safety and Quality Assurance at the University of Guelph. She went on to build more than 12 years of senior-level management experience within the Canadian food industry before expanding into consulting and third-party auditing.

With over 23 years of professional experience spanning food manufacturing, primary production, corporate governance, consulting, and certification auditing, Meenakshi is a multi-scheme GFSI Lead Auditor, consultant, and trainer with credentials in BRCGS, SQF, CanadaGAP, HACCP, FSMA, and GFCP including various customer specific audits.

Through Total Food Safety Inc. (TFS), she supports organizations across Canada and the United States in developing GFSI-aligned food safety management systems, strengthening preventive control programs, and preparing for regulatory, certification, and customer audits.

As a BRCGS Approved Training Partner (ATP), Meenakshi delivers engaging and practical training programs in BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, and Internal Auditing. She works closely with QA/QC professionals and site leadership teams to build compliant, audit-ready systems grounded in operational reality—focusing on measurable compliance, sustainable implementation, and a strong food safety culture.
