Muhammad Shahbaz is experienced food technologist and food safety professional with over 15 years of food safety, packaging materials and storage and distribution sector experience particularly in food safety and quality management systems.

He was BRCGS Award Winner -2026 “Consultant of the Year”

Muhammad was graduated in Food Science and Technology, holds master’s in food safety and Controls and currently Pursuing Ph.D. in Food Safety and Quality Management. He also completed professional certifications on “Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility” from London Business School, United Kingdom, Halal Food Management from Pakistan and Packaging Technology for Auditors from NVC Packaging Center, The Netherlands.

Muhammad has intensive international experience across Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Bahrain) Pakistan and Europe and have helped and technical support for many Food, Packaging and Storage and Distribution businesses that are working towards achieving GFSI certifications and other global certifications. Muhammad have vast experience of implementing and auditing of Yum brands, McDonalds, RBI, Five Guys, and other QSR global and local brands.

His technical expertise covers high-care, high-risk, and low-risk food manufacturing and retail operations, including bakery, confectionery, meat, beverages, dairy, flour and rice milling, seafood, snacks, ready meals, and chocolate. He also has specialized experience in Packaging Materials including paper & board, metals, plastics, wood, and glass, as well as fresh, ambient, chilled, and frozen storage and distribution.

He is active member with GFSI EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Technical Working Group, part of Food Safety Advisory Council of NSF International Michigan USA, member with IAFP (International Association of Food Protection), Dubai Food Safety Google group and is Life Member of PSFST (Pakistan Society of Food Scientist and Technologist).

He is also a qualified and experienced BRCGS-approved trainer and consultant, with expertise in developing and delivering training programs covering BRCGS Food Safety, Packaging Materials, Storage & Distribution, Lead Auditor and Auditor courses, HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, risk assessment, and internal auditing.
