With over 20 years of diversified experience in the field of Management System Standards and GFSI schemes, including BRCGS Food & Packaging and FSSC scheme standards, his areas of expertise as a consultant include conducting gap assessments, system development, policies and procedures documentation, training and implementation support, auditing protocol coaching and execution of audits.
Mr. Muhammad has attended Professional Trainer Certifications, including ATD’s Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) in Managing Learning Programmes, MTA UK Train the Trainer Certification and ALT Workshops. He holds a Master’s Degree in Total Quality Management (TQM) from IQTM, Punjab University, Pakistan, a Graduation in Agricultural Sciences with majors in Food Science & Technology from NIFST, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, and a WPO-recognised Fundamentals of Packaging Technology Certificate offered by the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), USA.
He has a strong operational background, having previously worked as a QA/QHSE Manager and Operational Excellence Manager in Food & Beverage and Packaging Manufacturing Operations. Mr. Shahzad has practical expertise as a management systems consultant and trainer in relation to Social Standards, including SA8000, WRAP, ETRS and the SEDEX Platform. He has handled projects on food sector standards, including HACCP, ISO22000 and GFSI schemes such as BRCGS and FSSC22000. He has managed a number of projects across different food and non-food industrial sectors in relation to QHSE, Food Safety and Social Management System Standards for clients in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia. He has over 1,500 mandays of auditor experience and 500 mandays of trainer experience, and has attended a number of courses on IRCA Lead Auditor, BRCGS standards and professional trainer courses.
