Petros currently works for Q-CERT as Food Sector Technical Director (in collaboration with NSF Certification). He has been involved in the food industry for all his professional career starting work as a Quality Assurance Manager with a large Greek company based in Cyprus, then providing consultancy for food companies achieving and maintaining accreditation to the BRCGS Standard, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, IFS and HACCP food safety systems etc. across a large number of product categories. Since 2006 he has been auditing various food standards and in 2007 He started auditing against the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety. He has completed more than 350 audits against BRCGS and other GFSI approved standards. His academic background (BSc Food Technology and MSc Food Science/Quality Assurance), experience gained working for the food industry and auditing has made him very knowledgeable of the requirements of the food industry and more specifically the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety.
