Jyoti Sahasrabudhe



Jyoti is a food scientist with over 30 years experience in the food industry, working in the areas of food safety/HACCP, food product and process development, regulatory compliance and nutritional analyses as a QA Manager, trainer, consultant and auditor. She has worked in a variety of food companies from small, family owned companies to multi-nationals, assisting them in developing food safety programs. She has experience in thermal processing operations, bakeries, beverages, confectionery manufacturing, poultry processing, formulated foods, dairies, and fruit and vegetable processing. This unique perspective enables her to understand the challenges that companies face when implementing food safety programs. She believes that employees are the most important asset of any business and training is an essential component in implementation of a food safety program and hence to a successful food business. Her passion is training and she has developed effective training programs for food companies, industry associations and government departments. She strives to present customized training that is client centred and effective. She uses examples from her personal experiences to make the BRCGS clauses relevant to her students. She uses a variety of interactive training methods to engage her students and specializes in training those whose first language is not English. Jyoti holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and a M.Sc. in Food Science, majoring in food microbiology. She holds certification as a BRCGS auditor and trainer, as well as a GMA-Safe auditor, an AQC HACCP auditor and an ISO 9001 lead auditor.
