Burcu Bölükbaşı PhD has started her career at Tikveşli, one of the former leading dairy companies in Turkey, in 1994 and continued her career with Danone, Bel Grup, Cadbury, Kraft, Mondelez, Yörsan and Pladis respectively. In the course of her career she held different roles and worked on projects ranging from “farm to fork” in these companies' supply chain more than 20 years.

Burcu has also worked as a trainer and consultant for companies such as Emsland Nişasta (Omnia), Bahçıvan, Aromsa ve Ceremony, advising on a wide range of subjects including production and manufacturing processes and technologies, products and process design and development, raw materials and incoming materials, roles of products and processes, Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, Process Management, Problem Solving& Root Cause Analysis.

During her career Burcu played an active role in developing, integrating and implementing continuous improvement, training and auditing of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, Culture Development, Laboratory Management Systems & Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Supplier Management Systems, Consumer and Customer Management Systems (CRM), AIB, BRC, IFS, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, OHSAS 18001 (currently updated as 45001), ISO 14001, IPM (Integrated Pest Management), Helal, Kosher, Food Defence, Social Security/ Defence Systems, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Management, design and maintenance of highly qualified and hygienic standards for sites, process lines and distribution network and 6 Sigma activities.

Burcu holds a Bachelors degree from Ankara University, Food Science and Technology Department of Faculty of Agriculture; a Master of Science in 1997 from Trakya University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science, Food Engineering Department and a doctorate degree from the same department in 2007. Burcu also worked at Sabahattin Zaim University Food Engineering Department (2012- 2013) and Istanbul Rumeli University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department (2017- 2019).
