The Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECS) is a non-profit umbrella organisation that supports people with coeliac disease and gluten intolerance throughout Europe. For more than 30 years, AOECS has supported the community with trusted scientific research, gluten-free certification standard for food and drinks and consumer guidance on how to live following a healthy and life-long gluten-free diet.
BRCGS and AOECS have entered a partnership to promote consumers’ access to reliable gluten-free certified food.
Through this partnership AOECS recognises that a certification against the BRCGS Gluten-Free Global Standard in combination with the AOECS Position Statement is accepted for companies becoming licensees of the Crossed Grain Trademark and use it for their products under the AOECS European Licensing System, which currently spans over 22 000 products in 29 European countries.
