New Webinar - The True Cost of Product Safety

When you consider the cost of product safety for your business, it is easy to focus simply on the financial impact. However, there are wider implications that could cost your business should product safety be compromised such as injuries, fatalities, non-compliance, corrective action, and brand damage. Our latest webinar explores the true cost of product safety beyond the financial implications and the measures that you can take in your business to improve resilience and minimise risk in your operations. Hosted by Geraldine Cosh, Director of Geraldine Cosh Consulting, and Grace Abamba, Global Technical Manager for Consumer Products & Packaging Materials at BRCGS.

What’s in the Consumer Products Standards?

Both the General Merchandise and Personal Care and Household Standards have the same overall structure and are divided into seven sections which are shown in the overview.

Position Statement

During the lifetime of a published BRC Global Standard the BRC Technical Advisory Committees may be asked to either review the wording of a clause in the BRC Global Standard or to provide an interpretation of a requirement or rule.

The decision made by the Technical Advisory Committee is known as a Position Statement. Position Statements are binding on the way the audit and certification process is carried out and are seen as an extension to the Standard.
